CCTL Funded Opportunities

The CCTL offers several funded opportunities for faculty, instructors, and graduate students looking to develop their teaching practice, integrate new educational methods into their classrooms and learning environments, and convene with their colleagues on teaching matters. Through these opportunities recipients receive financial, organizational, and pedagogical support from the CCTL.

Exploratory Teaching Groups (ETGs) provide faculty and instructors a collaborative framework to explore and discuss ideas, issues, and challenges in their teaching, with the goal of developing new practices, resources, or other educational interventions.

The Pedagogy Fellows Program (PFP) for faculty and instructors supports UChicago academics in developing, extending, and revising fundamental teaching competencies. Selected faculty and instructors form a cohort of Fellows of the CCTL and engage in a series of practice-oriented workshops organized around peer-to-peer discussions, along with classroom observation and formative feedback provided by both other Fellows and CCTL pedagogy specialists.
