Additional Campus Resources for Postdocs

We recommend the following resources for instructors at the University of Chicago.

Academic and Scholarly Technology Services

ASTS educates students and faculty on various technologies that can be incorporated into the classroom. One important resource, Chalk, is the most common framework for instructors to develop and disseminate course materials to students.

Student Disability Services

The disability services office provides support, resources, and accomodations to all students at the University with disabilities.

Center for Diversity and Inclusion

The University's Center for Diversity and Inclusion works to foster diversity across campus and support students, staff, and faculty. Their website collects information about units on campus that support diversity as well as resources for students.

Office of Multicultral Student Affairs (OMSA)

OMSA supports the academic success of students of color at the University of Chicago and works to build an inclusive campus community.

Office of LGBTQ Student Life

LGBTQ Student Life serves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, and questioning students and allies from across the University in order to create an inclusive and safe community, providing educational, social, and professional opportunities and resources.

Spiritual Life Office

This office connects students of every faith to resources on campus and in the community at large, including student groups, places of worship, and events.

Student Counseling Services

SCS supports the mental health of students, faculty and staff across the University. This office can be a great resource for anyone affiliated with the University as its professional staff is dedicated to the well being of all patients they see throughout the year.

English Language Institute

The ELI offers year-round English language and cross-cultural programming to students, post-docs, and visiting students and scholars for whom English is an additional language.
