This certificate is offered to graduate students in departments that require course work on pedagogy for completion of the doctorate. Beyond the departmental course, requirements include a series of five workshops offered at the Center for Teaching and Learning on issues in teaching, an Individual Teaching Consultation, and the production of a Teaching Portfolio. Goal: reflect on progress in teaching; to prepare for a career in teaching. More information
This award recognizes the contributions departmental faculty make—above and beyond the requirements of classroom teaching and advising on the dissertation—toward preparing graduate students for academic careers. More information
