- Tufts University.
- The Teaching
Goals Inventory, offered through the Univeristy of Iowa's Center
for Teaching, includes a multiple-choice self-test that helps instructors
identify and articulate course goals as they plan assignments, and design
a syllabus. This inventory should be helpful for instructors developing
a new course, revising an old one, developing a philsophy of teaching
statement or participating in a curriculum review.
- Bloom's Taxonomy. In 1956 Benjamin Bloom headed
a group of educational psychologists who developeda classification of
levels of intellectual behavior important in the process of learning.
The product of theoir study was a taxonomy of educational objectives,
including the coginitive, psycho-motor and affective domains. The
taxonomy offers a useful structue for the categorization of exam questions.
